Sydney’s finest brand outlet shopping experience - Birkenhead Point - has commenced upgrades to its car parks. On completion, customers will enjoy a more seamless and effortless visit with improved access and circulation on arrival.

Shoppers will benefit from the convenience offered with the introduction of a ticketless and parking guidance system, which will improve traffic flow and assist drivers to find available parking spots more easily. The upgrade will also include improvements to signage and modifications to the car park entries and exits.

The car park upgrade is the next transformative change to Birkenhead Point. The iconic retail and lifestyle destination launched its highly anticipated redevelopment last year, which welcomed premium brands including Peter’s of Kensington, Coach, Michael Kors, Harrolds and Bally to the outlet’s desirable offer.

“Mirvac’s planned car park upgrades respond directly to customer feedback and will greatly improve carpark access and circulation. Most importantly, the upgrades will enhance pedestrian safety with better paths of travel. Domestic and international tourists will also benefit from a dedicated private coach terminal and improved taxi facilities,” said Mirvac General Manager for Retail Development, Narelle Checchin.

For the ultimate experience, shoppers can board the Shopper Hopper ferry service and enjoy a memorable commute on Sydney’s iconic harbour, between Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and Birkenhead Point. Launched in 2016, Mirvac Retail’s award winning innovative Shopper Hopper has rapidly become a popular service for locals and tourists.

The upgrades will also see the car park facades revamped and the entry points enhanced while respecting the heritage attributes that surround this iconic, shopping environment.

Works have commenced this month, and are expected to be completed in mid-2019.

“We look forward to enhancing the overall experience and convenience for our customers and have staged the construction works to minimise disruption for shoppers and residents,” Ms Checchin said.
