The GWS GIANTS kicked off the season with an electrifying performance, securing a memorable victory against the Collingwood Magpies in the opening round. The match, held at ENGIE Stadium, was a showcase of skill, determination, and teamwork, setting the tone for an exciting season ahead.

Round 1: A hard-won battle against the Melbourne Demons

From the opening bounce, the GIANTS demonstrated their intent, engaging in a fierce contest with the Demons on their home ground at the MCG. A match-winning goal by Lachlan Keeffe in the final minute of the game resulted in a nail-biting victory in favour of the GIANTS'. Round 1 concluded with the GIANTS at the top of the AFL ladder.

International Women’s Day with special guest: Chloe Dalton OAM
To celebrate International Women's Day, we were thrilled to welcome Australian sporting superstar and key player for the GIANTS AFLW team, Chloe Dalton OAM to speak to our people. Chloe, an Olympic gold medallist and Founder of The Female Athlete Project, shared her insights on the power of sport to drive meaningful conversations about gender equality. Our recent partnership with the GIANTS, including our support for the GIANTS’ AFLW team, underscores our commitment to championing female participation in AFL and promoting gender equality both on and off the field.
