Tramsheds Growers Markets

Sydney's most exciting food destination, Tramsheds, is launching a weekly growers’ market from this Sunday 3 June. Curated by Bodega 1904, Tramsheds Growers’ Markets will be located inside the thriving precinct and feature local vendors selling fresh, seasonal and sustainable products, workshops, food pop-ups and masterclasses by community providores, each and every Sunday.

The markets will Sydney’s Inner West favourites Annandale Honey, Jodie McGregor Florals, Ladies Who Jam, Perfect Circle Whole Foods and Gelato Messina take centre stage. Visitors will be able to purchase fresh eggs from Kangaloon, fresh lamb from Mirrool Creek, and beautiful Vannella cheese, farm-bred duck, quail, spitchcock and cornfed chicken from Galston’s Game Farm.

Tramsheds Growers’ Markets will also play host to local musicians, as well as weekly talks and demonstrations featuring winemakers, cheesemakers, chefs, authors and artists. For those wanting to hear more about mushroom gardening, gourmand mushroom suppliers Fungico will host a number of interactive half hour seminars on Sunday. Punters will also be able to take home a DIY mushroom kit and grow their own fungi kingdom at home.

“We created the Growers’ Markets as our way of celebrating all of the incredible local businesses in our area and giving back to the community that has supported us so much since we launched”, says Kelli Shoesmith, Tramsheds Centre Manager. Notably, all proceeds from vendor stall fees will be donated to a different local charity each week.

The perfect accompaniment to the twelve leading restaurants and seven community retailers already operating at Tramsheds, the markets are a perfect Sunday morning activity in the Inner West.
