National Community Day 2022

9th May 2022

As a leading Australian company that aims to be a force for good, we want to provide opportunities to those who don’t always get them and support businesses that are set up for purpose.

As a leading Australian company that aims to be a force for good, we want to provide opportunities to those who don’t always get them and support businesses that are set up for purpose.

At Mirvac, we provide unlimited, fully paid volunteer leave for employees and each year, we also run our National Community Day, where staff pause their day-to-day work to bring some energy and effort to help a wide variety of causes that are important to our business and our people believe in.

This year on May 4th, employees from every part of our business slipped on the blue Mirvac volunteer polo shirt and picked up shovels and paint brushes, knitting needles and spades, kitchen tongs and aprons to help us build stronger bonds with our communities.

We also introduced an online option where we partnered with Communiteer to hold a Hack4Good, where we collaborated with four community organisations to tackle complex social issues using our diverse Mirvac skill set for impact.

Mirvac’s Community Day has proven to be a great way for our employees to meet people from across our business and experience the positive impact we can all make when we step out of our normal routine to lend a hand.

Mirvac acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waters of Australia, and we offer our respect to their Elders past and present.
