Mirvac's FY22 Modern Slavery Statement

Walk Free’s Global Slavery Index has estimated that 49.6 million people live in slavery today. This is an alarming number, and factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, global conflict and climate change have only served to heighten the risk of modern slavery.

As a business that works to uphold the rights of all humans, we are committed to addressing the modern slavery risks within our business. Our third Modern Slavery Statement details our ongoing progress to build our capability and set strong foundations for future action.

In FY22, we continued to focus on increasing the awareness of modern slavery throughout the organisation, building clear oversight of the activities we’re undertaking and delving deeper into some higher risk areas in our supply chain. We again worked with our peers, suppliers and experts on this topic on resources that will help to elevate the issue of modern slavery in our industry and provide practical solutions to enable the identification of modern slavery risks. Our statement also shares our refreshed strategy and the six pillars which will guide our activities over the coming years.
