Mirvac named best place to work by AFR BOSS
Mirvac has been awarded top spot in the 2022 AFR BOSS Best Places to Work List for the Property, Construction and Transport sector.
The AFR Best Places to Work List recognises companies which pioneer new ways of working and push the boundaries when it comes to workplaces and practices.
Mirvac CEO & Managing Director, Susan Lloyd Hurwitz said Mirvac’s success in creating one of Australia’s best places to work stemmed from its recognition that its people are its greatest asset.
“I’m delighted to accept this award on behalf of all our Mirvac people. We know our company can only be at its best when our people are at their best. That’s why we continue to focus on building engagement and a sense of belonging through an inclusive culture and embedded flexibility. Today we are united by our culture and our shared purpose to Reimagine Urban Life. They inspire passion, and underpin each individual’s commitment to our customers, our communities and our environment.
“It’s been a challenging two years with significant disruption and uncertainty. This award recognises our people’s ability to remain focussed and productive, to remain connected and support each other despite working remotely, and to continually adapt to constant change in today’s rapidly changing world.
“We’re proud to have played a pioneering role in our industry around inclusion and diversity. Initiatives such as our Thank You Days, our market leading policies around parental leave and domestic violence, and our recent recognition by Equileap as the number one workplace for gender equality in the world are just a few examples of things that we think make Mirvac a great place to work,” added Ms Lloyd-Hurwitz.
The prestigious annual list, published by The Australian Financial Review and Boss Magazine, is based on a rigorous assessment process managed by one of Australia’s leading behavioural science consultancy, Inventium. The methodology is underpinned by Inventium's Workplaces of the Future framework, which identifies ten key factors that are critical to employees feeling motivated and engaged at work and is supported by extensive research.
