First Residents Move in to Everleigh
First home buyers Georgia and Nathan have become the first residents of Mirvac’s south-east Queensland masterplanned community, Everleigh at Greenbank.
First home buyers Georgia and Nathan have become the first residents of Mirvac's newest south-east Queensland masterplanned community, the $765 million Everleigh at Greenbank.
The couple have just made the move to their brand new four bedroom home at Everleigh, which is located in Brisbane’s fast-growing south-west corridor.
Everleigh will ultimately comprise about 3,300 homesites among 215 hectares of green space spanning conservation parkland, sports fields and recreation parks, along with community facilities, including a State primary school, neighbourhood retail centre and community health centre.
More than 86 per cent of the first stage of 102 homesites, located alongside the community's new parkland and events space, have sold, with the second stage of 41 lots recently released.
Georgia and Nathan said Everleigh ticked the boxes of affordability, location and access to amenity.
Nathan, 23, who grew up in Greenbank on an acreage property, said the significant growth earmarked for the area also sparked their interest in purchasing in the community.
“Greenbank will always be special to me - I spent my childhood years outdoors from dawn until dusk. It is incredible how far the area has come and we are so excited to build a future here," he said.
“Funnily enough, as a kid I used to ride my bicycle in the bushland close to Everleigh – and have always thought 'I wish I could live there'.”
Georgia, 22, who is a new home coordinator at Burbank Homes, said she and Nathan realised immediately Everleigh was a natural fit for their first home.
“We lived nearby in Springfield Lakes and didn’t want to move too far away, so relocating to Greenbank ensures we still have easy access to work, and Brisbane and the Gold Coast," she said.
“We considered a few other locations but they didn’t match what Everleigh could offer. We wanted a community where we could bring up children in the future, so were instantly attracted to the open greenery, park facilities and strong community feel that will encapsulate life at Everleigh.”
Georgia and Nathan built Burbank’s ‘Surrey’ design, a 220sqm, four-bedroom, two-bathroom Hamptons style home on a 420sqm block.
“Our house includes raised ceilings, open-plan living and stone benches throughout and is located close to parkland – which gives it a relaxed and airy feel," said Georgia.
“The fact Everleigh will be a community where everyone looks out for each other is something I’m looking forward to being part of, along with its close proximity to shops, schools and the motorway.”
Mirvac Queensland Residential Manager, Warwick Bible, said it was a major milestone to welcome the first residents to Everleigh, with Greenbank set to be one of Queensland's fastest growing areas.
"We have had a lot of interest from first home buyers like Georgia and Nathan wanting to step onto the property ladder, and we are thrilled to be a part of that journey," he said.
"Also among our first group of residents are growing families building a new home to better accommodate their needs into the future and downsizers wanting a modern, low maintenance home.
"Across the board, buyers see the opportunity to get in early and benefit from the significant growth planned for Everleigh and the wider Greenbank area."
Mr Bible said interest was continuing to grow as potential buyers saw the community taking shape - and he expected that upward trajectory to continue.
"Now our first homes, entry statement and stage one parkland and event space are complete, and work is underway on stage two, buyers can get a real sense of the quality of Everleigh," he said.
Located about 30 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, the 481 hectare Everleigh community is within the State Government-declared Greater Flagstone Priority Development Area (PDA), which will undergo significant expansion in coming years.
Current available homesites range from 300sqm to 633sqm. Pricing for 375sqm lots start at $195,500. For more information, please visit everleigh.mirvac.com, call (07) 3859 5960 or stop by the Everleigh Sales Centre, located at 146 Teviot Road Greenbank, between 10am and 5pm daily.
