Families Find Forever Home at Ashford

16th March 2020

Families looking to build their forever home close to the Brisbane CBD are leading the charge at Mirvac's new Ashford Residences community in Everton Park.

More than 50 per cent of land lots in stage one of Ashford Residences, which boasts a sought-after position alongside Kedron Brook and just seven kilometres from the CBD, are under deposit since the community launched to the market in November (2019).

The first release features 22 land lots, ranging from 413sqm to 631sqm and priced from $495,000, including a selection with leafy outlooks and direct access to Kedron Brook cycleway.

Mirvac General Manager of Residential Development in Queensland, Warwick Bible, said stage one had appealed to local purchasers in particular.

"All of the buyers to date have been owner-occupiers, with the majority looking to upgrade to a brand new family home in the local area," he said.

"The opportunities to build new in this location are rare, so they have jumped at the chance to secure their place in the community.”

"The position alongside Kedron Brook, with its creek-side parks, picnic spots, bike paths and dog-friendly areas, has also been hugely appealing, providing an abundance of spaces to play, exercise and socialise, which acts almost as an 'extension' to their own backyard."

Mr Bible said purchasers in stage one could choose between freehold land lots and lots that were part of the body corporate, giving those residents exclusive access to the 'Ashford Residences Club', including a pool with splash area for children, a gymnasium, teppanyaki grill, fire pit and barbecue, seating areas and a large turfed area overlooking the eco area and Kedron Brook cycleway.

"Offering both options has given buyers the ultimate flexibility and those opting to be part of the Ashford Residences Club are doing so to enjoy that additional space to relax and entertain, making building at Ashford Residences a real lifestyle choice," he said.

Mr Bible said new development in the area, such as the recently-opened dining laneway, Park Lane, at Everton Plaza, further added to the appeal and convenience of Ashford Residences.

"Everything residents could need and want is in close proximity, from a vast menu of popular bars and eateries - including the newly opened Tetto rooftop bar, Communa Cantina and Corbett and Claude - to a Woolworths and Coles supermarket, and schools and childcare facilities," he said.

"It is also a highly commutable and connected location - Enoggera train station, bus stops, the airport link and arterial roads, South Pine Road and Stafford Road, are all in easy reach."

Mirvac also recently completed its refurbishment of the historic Murphy's Dairy Residence, which has opened as the Ashford Residences Sales Centre. The heritage Queenslander will ultimately be fully-restored and offered for sale as a family home.

It is also proposing to establish a one-hectare eco area neighbouring Kedron Brook, to further enhance the ecological health of the popular area.

When complete, Ashford Residences will feature a total of 43 homesites, along with 80 three and four bedroom terrace homes as well as the restored heritage home.
